Robert C. Zeigler, also known to many as ( POP’s or PAPOW ) of Penrose CO, passed away Thursday 19, 2013 at age 72. He was found in Penrose by a family member were he had passed in his sleep. Robert was born August 17, 1941 in Marion County WV to Howard Clifton Zeigler and Rose Ida Tobrey. He attended Manitou Springs High School where he graduated. He served 4 years in the United States Army as a mechanic. Robert married Glenda Sue Dawson the 17th of June 1979 in Woodland Park, CO. He spent his entire working career as a Union Heavy Equipment Operator for the Operator’s Union Local #9. He is survived by his brother, William (Karen) Zeigler; stepsons, Randall and Eric Keymon; grandchildren, Bobby Taylor & Jaime Harrison, Amanda & Jamie Bennett, Chrystal & Michael Montgomery; family, CeCe & Phil Thompson, Richard & Kim Roberts; the twins Patty & Doris, and many other cherished close friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda; his parents, Howard & Rose Zeigler; stepchildren, Glenda Zeigler, Linda Anderson, and Rodney Keymon; and in-laws, Dean & Estella Evens.
