On Sunday April 29th, 2018, Robert Carl Ware passed away at age 86. Robert was born in Southwick, Idaho and later resided in Escondido for forty-three years.
He enjoyed Southern California, but Idaho is where his heart remained. Robert was a veteran of the Korean War.
Serving with distinction he rose to the rank of Sergeant Major in less than three years.
He was honorably discharged and returned to Lewiston to marry the love of his life, Verla Mae, who passed in 2015.
They were married over fifty years. Robert found a career in heavy equipment management and sales at Caterpillar and Hyster Co.
Robert enjoyed many activities including aviation, golfing, hunting, fishing and gunsmithing.
He excelled in everything he did. In his later years Robert made two wondrous journeys including an African safari and a trip to the Holy Lands.
We, his children and his many friends, feel his most amazing accomplishment of all was his endless commitment and devotion caring for Verla following her stroke.
For twenty-four years he lovingly cared for her until his health made it physically impossible.
He is survived by his proud children Kurt Ware and Tracy Ware-Ewing, his grandchild, Andrea
Ewing, his brother Pete Ware, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
His inspirational drive and spirit will never be forgotten.
