Robert C. Leonard was born into this world on March 29, 1939, and left for heaven Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the great hour of Mercy, 3 PM.

He was the son of Robert C. Leonard, Sr., and Louise Octavio Fusco. He attended Danbury Schools and met his future wife, Jacqueline, at St.

Bob and Jacqueline Nassif were married soon after and had 4 children. This month they would have celebrated 62 years of marriage. They were blessed with 3 daughters and 1 son. Firstborn, Marylisa Dransfield (Kevin), Middle daughter, Jerilyn Ann Nolan (Dr. James Nolan), third daughter and Bob’s namesake, Robin Catherine Moravsky (Joseph), and their son, Douglas Jude (Diane Beth). 
His legacy includes a dozen grandchildren: Joseph (wife-Stephanie), Alexandra, and Samantha Moravsky; Zachary, Wesley, and Abigail Dransfield; Jordan and Jamison Nolan, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Maria, and Daniel Leonard, and three great-grandchildren. 

Bob worked in sales and was employed by John Hancock Life Insurance for over 10 years, and then local auto dealerships for the remainder of his working life. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s and a past parish council member. He was a reader at liturgy, a member of Cursillo, and a past member of the Order of St. Sharbel. He loved his God and his family and became an avid prayer warrior. When he was fully retired, he enjoyed many hours at the New Fairfield Senior Center, playing cards and shooting pool with people who became his friends. He also frequented the Danbury Senior Center to play pinochle.

He came from a blended family and his life was enriched by a number of siblings. He is survived by his brothers, William Leonard (Karen), John Leonard (Elizabeth), Anthony Fusco (Linda), Peter Fusco, and Benjamin Fusco. He is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Higgenbotham (James), Patricia Petersen (Carl), Mary Crouthamel (John), and Catherine Barese (Joseph).

He was predeceased by Francis and George Fatool.

Survivors also include sisters-in-law Shirlee Andrews, Janet Nassif, and Mary Fatool.
