Robert Charles Lages, 69, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on June 23, 2021.

Robert was born in Yonkers, NY to the late Joseph W. Lages, Sr., and Elizabeth M. (Trevorah) Lages. Robert worked as a police officer for the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department for many years. He remained in New York until 1991 when he relocated his family from Lake Peekskill, NY to Port St. Lucie, FL. After his career in law enforcement, he went on to graduate from Daniel Taddeo Real Estate School where he obtained his real estate license.

Robert enjoyed classic cars, fishing, collecting coins, stamps, and being a realtor. He organized food gift card donation drives for the Port St. Lucie Police Foundation to help residents in need and bicycle giveaways for children during the holiday season for several years. He loved to stay busy and was always regarded as a hard worker throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen Sonya Lages, his daughters Karen Teresa Lages and Donna Marie Lages, his son John Robert Lages and daughter-in-law Tabitha Roceille Lages, and his grandsons Marquis Allen Maldonado and Lowgan Robert MacAlvanah all of Port St Lucie, FL. He is also survived by his cherished dogs, Chihuahua Lisa and Shih Tzu Teddy.
