Robert, the son of Randy and Pamela (Wilson) Grimes, was born on June 28, 1971 in Davenport. He grew up in Lynnville and graduated from Lynnville-Sully High School in 1990.
Robert if survived by his parents, Randy and Pam Grimes of South Dakota; son, Nathan Grimes-Van Cleave of Nebraska City, Nebraska; brothers, Richard (Anita) Grimes of Des Moines and Michael Grimes of Lincoln, Nebraska; his maternal grandmother, Madeline Wilson of Newton; one niece; one nephew; and one great-niece. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Wilma Grimes and maternal grandfather, Kendall Wilson.
