WINSTED, CTRobert C. Goulet, 74, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Hazzard) Goulet for 47 years. Robert was born on September 11, 1947 in Winsted; he was the son of the late Leopold Goulet and Rena (Turgeon) Goulet. Rob was a loyal and dedicated employee at Northeast Utilities/Eversource, as a Regional Transportation Supervisor, until retirement in 2018. He was master mechanic and his ultimate passion was building and racing cars. Rob custom designed the Silver Bullet which he loved driving around both alone and with his family; especially with his grandchildren. He was always an active man and enjoyed walking and spending time daily with his friends. Rob was an avid Yankees fan, making many trips to the now old Yankee Stadium. He was a great creator with profound ingenuity. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his wife, he leaves his beloved daughters, Danielle Goulet and fiancée Jonathan of Burlington, Monique Thorington and husband Kevin of Bloomfield and Lindsay Gaudette and husband Tyson of Winsted; cherished grandchildren, Gillian Winegar, Kaeden and Allaria Thorington, Kaia Thomsen and Finley Gaudette; siblings, Annette Keppley and husband Peter of PA, David Goulet and wife Kathy of Watertown, Charles Goulet and wife Lorraine of VA and Diane Goulet of VA; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
