Robert C. Frederick Sr., age 81 of Freeport, IL, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Alden Debes Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Rockford, IL. He was born September 6, 1936; the son of the late Russel and Gladys (Koethe) Frederick. He attended Freeport High School. Robert married Carol (Wickwire) on April 23, 1960.
He worked at Thermos as a tool & die maker for 30 years. He also volunteered at FHN Memorial Hospital. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and sharing his produce with friends.
Robert is survived by his wife Carol Frederick of Freeport; daughter, Dawn Frederick of Freeport; sons, Robert (Sheila) Frederick Jr. of Freeport, Scott (Lisa) Frederick of Pecatonica, IL, and David (Pat) Frederick of Freeport; three grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Mark Frederick.
