Robert C. Burghard Sr. 80 of Toms River, NJ passed away on Monday May 27, 2019 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was a dedicated Father, Husband, grandfather and friend. He was always the first person to lend a helping hand to anyone in need without expecting anything in return. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and loved watching cooking and home renovations shows. He was born at Holy Name hospital in Teaneck, NJ to Harold and Rosemary Burghard he grew up in Bergenfield, NJ later moving to Dumont, NJ before coming to Toms River 40 years ago.
He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. Robert and his brother Mickey owned and operated RCB Improvements Corp. He was an active parishioner of St Justin’s RC Church, Toms River. Surviving is his loving wife Angela (Petrolino) and his children Patti-Ann, Audra, Robert C. Jr. and Robyn Burghard all of Toms River, Two grandchildren Mackenzie and Braylin Burghard, his brother Harold “Mickey” Burghard and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and Brother Raymond Burghard.
