Robert C. Boswell, age 74, of New Smyrna Beach, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018, at Halifax Hospital Daytona. Born in Washington, D.C., on June 29, 1944, to Robert B. and Ruth (Capron) Boswell, he graduated from Bloomfield Hills High School, and Lawrence Technological University, completing a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He married his life-long love and companion, Suzanne LoPrete, in 1971.
He enjoyed life and was active throughout life in many hobbies including astronomy, photography, golf, cycling, camping, was an avid reader and studied Tae Kwon Do in his younger years.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Suzanne, and daughters, Heather (Charles Veldhoff) of Holland, MI, Kristen (Ronald Sandison) of Rochester Hills, MI, and granddaughter Makayla Marie Sandison.
Whether it was a passion for dinosaurs or space travel, Robert nurtured the love for learning in his daughters.
