Robert was preceded in death by both parents; first wife, Nancy Jean Bumpus Buckner; Brother Ronald Gerome Buckner as well as his favorite aunt, Catherine Findley. He is survived by his wife Barbara Zabik Buckner; daughter Elise Pratt (John); son Timothy Buckner; step-daughter Sherry Wood (Greg); grandchild Wesley Curt Pratt; step-grandchildren Emily and Aaron Nehls. Robert was a graduate of Marshall High School class of 1964. He was owner and operator of BFM Manufacturing Company.
