Robert Bratko, 74, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away at Saint Lucie Medical Center on October 29, 2021.
Bob was born on December 1, 1946, in Cleveland Ohio to Rudolph and Henrietta Bratko.
He served a total of five years in the US Navy, two years active duty, and three years in the reserve unit, serving one year in Vietnam as a forward machine gunner in the Brown Water Navy in 1968.
He spent the earlier part of his life in the steel industry working his way to management and then on to management consultant. After moving to Florida, he spent the rest of his career in sales.
As a young boy, he learned to play guitar and took great pleasure in playing especially Spanish guitar. He enjoyed art and painting and was excellent at capturing the life force of animals and wildlife. He loved to garden and took great pride in the water garden which he built himself.
He and his family and friends spent many relaxing hours enjoying the peace and tranquillity of his water garden. He also liked to fish and just basically spend time with mother nature.
Bob was a loving caring individual. There wasn’t a person who met him who didn’t like him. No matter what the situation, he found a way to lighten up the mood with his infectious sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his father Rudolph, mother Henrietta, and brother Ronald Bratko.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; daughter, Michelle Watts, (Callum); stepdaughter, Lisa Fast (David); grandsons, Jonathan and Dylan Doucette; step-granddaughters, Bailey Buchanan (Shane), and Riley Fast; and niece, Crissy Moyer (Dale); and many family and friends.
