Robert Bowers Moore, 89, Anderson, passed away June 20, 2009 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born August 11, 1919 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson all of his life. Bob was a 1937 graduate of Anderson High School. He retired in October of 1981 as a pressman from Anderson Newspapers, Inc after more than 50 years of service.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge #77 F. & A.M., York Rite Bodies, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Order of Eastern Star #154, member and past president of the Benevolet Protective Order of Elks #209, American Legion #127 and a life member of Community Hospital Auxillary. He volunteered for 25 years at Community Hospital and Anderson Police Department.

He is survived by his wife whom he married July 7, 1940, Helen L. Watson Moore; daughters, Marilynn Sue & husband Ralph Toliver of Hua’nuco, Peru, South America, Cathy Louise & husband David Payne of Ft. Wayne and Sandra Lee & husband Robert Vance of Alexandria; four grandchildren, Jeremy Toliver, Bethany Toliver, Judy Toliver and Douglas Roof; great grandchildren, Nathan, Caleb, and Levi Toliver, Jenna and Liam Odor; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Andrew and Edna Ellen Bowers Moore; brothers, Paul Edward Moore and Floyd Andrew Moore, Jr. and sister, Margaret Louise Pittsenbarger.
