Robert (Bobby) Tafoya
April 30, 1943- November 4, 2018
I have religiously checked the obituary section of the newspaper everyday to make sure I was not there, if you are reading this then I made it there. I was born to John Jr. and Isabell (Sooky) Tafoya of Ogden, Utah, on April 30, 1943. I went to Lincoln Elementary School, Mound Fort Junior High School, and Ben Lomond High School, where I excelled in many sports and held many records. I passed away of Carcinoid Cancer and Lymphoma at the age of 75, on November 4, 2018. I know that my family and friends were by my side when I drifted off to be with family members that passed before me.
I’m survived by my wife Bobbie Lynn Tafoya, Clearfield, Utah. We had many good times and laughs together and made it through some very tough times. Bobbie was so good to me, and spoiled the crap out of me. I loved Bobbie with all heart and she is truly a good woman. My son Robert Lee Tafoya, Ogden, Utah; daughters Destry Ann Parkinson, North Ogden, Utah, Christina Eddy, Hooper, Utah; sister June Garcia, Clinton, Utah; brother John Anthony and Koniko Tafoya, Yakima, Washington; sister Jackie Hernandez, Ogden, Utah; brother Timothy Tafoya, Zurich, Switzerland; 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. I was preceded in death by my mother and father; sisters Fawn Rachel (Sissy) Terkelson, Suzanne (Suzie) Shider; brothers John Paul, Thomas Franklin (Tommy), Patrick (Ricky) Tafoya; son-in-law Troy Eddy; cousin-in-law, Charlee Jean Beal.
I married Karen Terkelson in 1962, we were later divorced. I then married the love of my life, Bobbie Beal, on June 8, 1996. I was a member of The Elks, The Eagles and the president of The Bighorn 4×4 Club.
