DURHAM- Mr. Robert Ross Clayton “Bobby”, 87, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Duke Regional . Clayton was born March 20, 1931 in Durham, NC to the late Banks and Ever Clayton. Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a former member of Lynn Crossroads Ruritan Club. He was a member of Leesville Road Baptist Church for over 30 years. He loved to fish with his sons and grandsons. Bobby was well known for his mechanical skills and would help family, friends, and neighbors. Bobby will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved his friends and family. He will be missed by everyone blessed to have known . Clayton is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Doris P. Clayton; parents, Banks and Ever Clayton; 4 brothers; 3 sisters; granddaughter, Jenna . Clayton is survived by his wife of 15 years, Betty M. Clayton; sons, Robby Clayton (Debbie), Nicky Clayton (Mary); stepsons, Dave Willis (Jessica), Robert Willis (Amanda); sister, Hilda Murphy; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; loving cat Raschal and several other loving family members.m.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Leesville Road Baptist Church.
