Robert “Bob” Claude Weir, 64, Ringgold, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at a local healthcare facility. Robert was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga, North Georgia area and of the Methodist faith. Mr. Weir was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Vietnam Era, was a member of the American Legion Post 95, where he served in the Honor Guard. He was a graduate of UTC receiving his B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Robert retired from EPB after 32 years. He played fast pitch softball for many years and enjoyed being an official for TSSAA Football for 25 years. Recently Robert worked part time at Sigma Security. Mr. Weir is preceded in death by his parents Warner and Doris Weir and brother, John Weir. Robert is survived by wife of 45 years, Judy Gattis Weir, son, Brad (fiancee Jeanna Tillery) Weir, Baxley, GA, daughter, Stacey Lee, Charlotte, TN, grandson, Robert Bryson Lee, Uncle, Tom Colwell, Duluth, GA, Aunt, Virginia Roberts, Los Altos, CA, several cousins, nieces and nephews and special friends Todd Lee, Lena and Bailey Flener, Margie and Kelsee Johnson, and Rylan and Keegan Castleberry.
