Robert (Bob) Vincent Hannum, 64 of Manassas, VA passed away suddenly January 21, 2018 at his home with his family by his side, after losing a valiant battle with bladder cancer, one we thought he had won. Bob was born in Quebec, Canada in 1953 to Calvin and Virginia Hannum. Bob was an auto technician for 42 years before retiring in December 2016. He loved working on small engine equipment, he could fix just about anything you gave him to work on. He enjoyed shooting his gun collection with family and friends, having and restoring his antique VW’s and going to car shows. Most of all he loved talking to all the friends he had made through the years, he will be greatly missed by so many. He leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years Sherry; one son, Robert Neil Hannum of the home; one daughter, Kelly Lynn Pruitt (Daniel) of Fredericksburg, VA; two grandchildren: Andre Martin Hannum and Cassidy Lynn Pruitt both of Fredericksburg, VA; his mother, Virginia Hannum, of Fort Wayne, IN; one sister, Marie Hannum, of Sarasota, FL and one brother, David Hannum (Susan) of Kokomo, IN. Numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews. Our special neighbor Sean Harrell who fondly called us his east coast parents, taking him under our wings as our own.
