Robert “Bob” Lowery, April 19, 1933 – September 7, 2013.
Robert “Bob” Lowery passed away early Saturday morning at the Veterans Hospital in Temple, Texas. Bob was a loving husband, brother, and friend to so many. He married Nila Blair January 1, 1956 and never left her side. He loved his family dearly; he was a wonderful listener and was always willing to share his wisdom with anyone. He also had a love for God and his Country.
Bob joined the Military in March of 1953 he served is country for three years including serving in the Korean War. Bob’s hobby was cooking and collecting recipes, he must have had over 100 Recipes at home. His favorite time of the year was Christmas, he loved being together with his family and cooking his famous cookie recipes for everyone to enjoy. Other times he enjoyed cooking his favorite food; Spaghetti, and being an avid reader. He was also so fascinated by Trains.
Bob is preceded in death by his brother Walton Lowery, his sister Hannah Lowery, and his Parents Randall & Leota Lowery. He is survived by his wife Nila Lowery, his sisters Donna Russell, Irma Toland, Leota Sue Devauld, and Naomi Lynn Hughes as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Belton Masonic Lodge #166.
