Robert L. Linder, age 80, died November 28, 2014 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
He was born December 23, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio to Robert and Gertrude (Schantz) Linder. He is survived by his wife Hannemarie Linder; son, Scott Linder (Jill); daughter Kathy Linder; step-sons Matthew White, Michael White and many grandchildren.
For more than 50 years, Bob served as a beloved pastor to several congregations including Tanque Verde Lutheran Church in Tucson, Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Las Vegas, Gloria de Christo in Yuma, and the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Flagstaff. Bob also served on the board of Northland Hospice, which was an organization near and dear to his heart.
Bob loved people, and people loved him. He touched and provided spiritual guidance to countless lives. His gentle and caring nature made his choice of vocation a natural one. He had the ability to truly listen and provide sound, sage advice.
Bob was a diehard Cleveland Indians fan to the very end. He also loved dogs and had several throughout his life – some who he found and some who found him.
He was a loved man and will be missed by many.
