On Monday, May 24, 2021, Robert Joseph McNulty passed away at UCHealth Anschutz Hospital in Aurora, CO at the age of 72.
Bob was born March 21st, 1949 in Denver, CO to Joseph and Doris (King). Bob was a Vietnam Veteran who enlisted in the US Navy on December 26, 1968 and was honorably discharged on December 22, 1972.
Bob had a passion for finding and collecting rocks and fossils. Petrified wood, agates and geodes were some of Bob’s favorites, but he never passed up the opportunity to pick something up that was interesting or neat; even if it was a large rock in the Costco parking lot. He would spend hours “rock hunting” by the old eagle tree at the property by himself or with anyone else who would come along. He loved motorcycles and riding his Harley. He retired 7 years ago and enjoyed retired life. He spent many hours organizing the garage and fixing it up to be his own. He loved woodworking, building and tinkering in the garage where he spent a lot of time with his dog, Aspen. Bob enjoyed collecting a broad range of things he found interesting from old glass bottles and cans to rocks and knives. Bob was known for his sense of humor, creativity and his fun, generous and kind spirit.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Joseph, mother, Doris, stepfather, Frank Davis and sister Joan Brennan. He is survived by his son, Shaun, daughter in-law, Melanie, grandchildren, Liam and Quinn, brothers, Mike McNulty, Frank Davis and sisters, Kathy McNulty, Patti Brewer and June Cramer as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.
