Robert (Bob) J. Walz Sr., age 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a 5 1/2 year battle with cancer on November 27, 2012.
Bob was born, June 12, 1937, in Belgrade Minnesota to Frank and Genevieve Walz. He enlisted in the Navy in 1955 where he met the love of his life, Irene Roy. They were married on March 17, 1957 in Lynn, MA. They were able to celebrate 55 years of marriage.
Bob worked in the grocery business his entire career. After retirement, he joined his son, Bob, Jr. in his custom cabinetry. Bob’s greatest passion was his family. Bob loved working in his garden, reading, building furniture for his family and his beloved pets. Bob enjoyed his road trips with his wife and daughters. Bob was always there for his family offering his love and guidance. Bob also knew Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Genevieve.
Bob is survived by his wife Irene; children, Ruth (Dan) Granger, Linda (Lionel) Radermacher, Bob, Jr. (Angie) Walz and Steve (Michelle) Walz; grandchildren, Amanda, Katie, Doug, Holli, Shane, Emily Bob III, Hannah, Samantha, Brittani, Ben, Nick and Ally; great-grandchildren, Jarod, Max, Madelyn, Chase, Claire and another great-grandson arriving in the spring. Bob is also survived by his siblings Roman (Judy) Walz, Duane (Dellie) Walz, Diane (Lionel) Stavos, Kenny (Betty) Walz, Mary Kay (Pete) Mohs and many Nephews and Nieces.
