Robert “Bob” Weiss, age 90, of Plymouth, died Sunday, December 2nd, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Harriet “Honey” (Cooper) Weiss and leaves three sons, Scott, John and his wife Cheryl, and Andy; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Bob was born in Philadelphia and graduated from Penn State University where he became a loyal life-long Penn State football supporter. He was an avid golfer and earned a US Golf Association membership. He worked in sales, marketing and management for over forty years. Bob was active in the community his entire life. At various times, he served as a volunteer fireman, boys baseball coach and umpire. More recently, he was a member of Service Corps of Retired Executives and also could be heard reading the newspaper on the Talking Information Center radio network for the blind. In addition, he volunteered for the Plymouth Art Guild and Plymouth Center for the Arts. His hobbies included extensive travel with Honey to Europe and Mexico, photography, and model ship building. Some of his photographs won awards at regional art shows and some of his ship models are on display in museums. He is greatly missed by his three sons and his many friends. There are no services planned at this time.
