Robert “Bob” Cannon 89, passed away at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton, Indiana on February 17, 2019.

He was born in Howard county on September 29, 1929 to the late Roy and Ethel (Gilbert) Cannon.

Bob was married to Natalie (Melson) Arnett for over 45 years.  She preceded him in death on July 17, 2007.

Bob graduated from Howard Township School in 1947.  After high school he worked at Continental Steel in Kokomo, then served in the Army from 1951-1953.

He was a life member and past president of the American Legion and a past member of Tipton Elks #1012.

Bob was a successful business man and lifelong farmer.  Together he and Natalie built a successful farm and trucking operation.  He loved playing cards with his card playing buddies.  He also enjoyed his winter trips to Florida where he would meet up with his friends called “The Ohio Gang”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Natalie, and brothers Howard and Wayne Cannon.

He is survived by his daughter Karla (Tim) Bowser of Sharpsville; son Jeff (Bonnie) Cannon of Sharpsville; step-sons Mark (Kaye) Arnett of Noblesville and Mike Arnett of Tipton; grandchildren Kristy (Nick) Spoon, Danielle Morrisett, Michelle (Kyle) Myers, Ryan (Emily) Arnett, Larry (Brandi) Cannon, and Audrea Cannon; great grandchildren Barrett, Charlotte, Dalila, Jessica, Logan, Seth, Erik, Ethan, Chase, Serenity, Cayden, Isayah, Caitlin, Aidan, Olivia, Alana, and Zachary; great-great grandchildren Ezekiel and Quinn; and several nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Miller’s Merry Manor for their wonderful and compassionate care.
