Robert “Bob” Douglas Norman, 74, of Milford, beloved husband of Joyce (LeGeyt) Norman, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on January 30, 2022. Born on March 29, 1947 in Winsted, CT, he was the son of the late Ralph and Ruth (Tallon) Norman. He was known as Robert, Rob, Bob, Dad, Grandpa and Dada. The last two names are the ones that brought the most joy to his life. Memories of fishing, gardening, water gun fights in the pool, big family breakfasts and just talking around the kitchen table will always be in the hearts of his will always be the one who instilled a love of music in his children, showed them the importance of hard work and perseverance and taught them how to haggle the price of souvenirs outside Yankee Stadium. Robert was the high school sweetheart of Joyce and the love of his life. They met when they were just kids and for more than 50 years shared their lives everyday…through ups and downs, heartaches and joy, they truly are an example of love always matter what name you knew Robert by, everyone has one thing in common: they’ve laughed their hardest with him and their hearts will always be filled with love for knowing him.Robert is survived by his children, Tara(Mitchell) Wexler, Jonathan (Louise) Norman, and Meghan (Robert) Cole; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Finn, Liv. Kai, Ella, and Liam; his siblings, Marianne Callahan, and Melissa (Fred) Panas; and by several nieces, cousins, and extended family members and friends. Bob was predeceased by his brothers, John and Kevin.
