Robert Dean “Bob” Fisher, 82, of Holbrook, Arizona, passed away May 5, 2018 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Bob was born September 3, 1935 in Lusk, Wyoming to Robert and Ella Black. He graduated from Meridian High and later served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the West Central States Mission headquartered in Billings, Montana. Upon completion of his mission, Bob married the former Beryl Heward on August 21, 1956 in the Mesa Arizona Temple.
Bob worked for Newberrys and Western Union in their early years of marriage and later settled in Holbrook, where he worked at Whiting Brothers prior to working for Bud Johnson as an accountant. Bob purchased the accounting practice from Bud and spent his career in the accounting and insurance fields.
Bob enjoyed his work and was actively involved in scouting and received many honors for his dedicated service. Additionally, he also served in many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Bob is survived by 4 sons and 2 daughters: Robert (Roxanne) Fisher, Lillie (Bruce) Ludwig, Samuel (Jolene) Fisher, Diana (Jeff) Smith, Martin (Roseanne) Fisher, and Robert (Amanda) Fisher; 35 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Kester Akers, his spouses Beryl Fisher and Sally Fisher, and sons Warren and Christopher.
