Robert “Bob” Lee Davis passed away in his home surrounded by family on Friday, November 4, 2022. He was born in Norfolk, VA, on December 31, 1958, to Margaret M. Davis (Ronchetto) and Richard Davis. Bob moved to Illinois with his family when he was ten years old.
Bob was an avid fisherman and loved tinkering with fishing lures and poles. He also enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. Bob would look for wildlife while on road trips with his family. He also had fun playing slot machines and traveling to different states with his family. Bob was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers. He loved all animals, especially his family dogs. In his younger years, Bob enjoyed swimming at the Washington Park Pool and walking around the Washington Square. He was recognized wherever he went.
Bob was well-known around the community of Washington. He would often be seen walking to the movie theater and attending football games. No one was a stranger to Bob. He loved talking to everyone he met. He could light up a room with his smile and laugh. Every person who knew Bob had at least one story they could share. He left an impact on every person he has ever spoken to.
Bob was an angel on earth. He had the kindest heart and soul. He would do anything for his loved ones and even for people he didn’t know. More than anything, Bob loved his family unconditionally.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Richard Davis, his brother Michael E. Davis, and his Uncle, Gene Ronchetto. He is survived by his mother, Margaret M. Davis, sister Mary (Renae) Scott, and brother Richard S. Davis (Julie), all of Washington. He is also survived by his nieces Danielle (Ryan Todd) Hull of Washington; Destiny (Andrew) King of Peoria; Leanne (David) Edwards of Washington; Tara Stepinski of St. Jacob; and his nephew Jeremiah Davis of Farmington. He is also survived by his Uncle James (Loys) Ronchetto of Roanoke, several cousins from across the states, and several great-nieces and nephews.
