Robert D. “Bob” Wagoner, age 70, of Holly Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

 

Born December 17, 1950, in Morgan County, he was a son of the late George T. Wagoner and Beulah Joy Matthews Wagoner.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Wagoner, and brother-in-law, Roger Plank.

 

Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan Christine Plank Wagoner, whom he married September 9, 1972; five children, Laura (Ronnie) Hooker of Salem, Virginia, Robin Wagoner, Brenda (Tony) Roberson, Dallas Wagoner, and Kim (Greg) Wilcox, all of Morehead; and five grandchildren, Brianna Tufts, Autumn McIntosh, Owen Roberson, Sierra Hooker, and Dalton Roe.

 

Other survivors include one sister, Sylvia Plank of Morehead; three brothers, Raymond Wagoner of Indiana, Curt (Judy) Wagoner of West Liberty, and Ronnie Wagoner of Morehead; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Bob was head sawyer for Bill Fannin’s Sawmill and Hamilton’s Sawmill and a lifelong farmer.  He loved God, was a born again Christian, and was very thankful that he had given himself to the Lord.
