Robert “Bob” D. Dodson, 55 of Centralia, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014. Bob was born October 9, 1958 in Centralia, son of Raymond A. Dodson and Carolyn S. (Lynch) Wells. He married Vicki Gambill on September 3, 1994 and she survives in Centralia.

In addition to his wife of 19 years, he is survived by five children: Misty Fear of Centralia, Rick Dodson of Centralia, Vicky Jo Treffert of Vernon, Michelle Gambill-Williams of Salem and Branden Jezek of Sandoval; seven grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters: Ron Hawkins and Karen of Birmingham, AL, Raymond Dodson and Angie Dargas of Carterville, IL, Carla Ragsdale and Mike of Benton, Robin Hawkins of Coulterville, IL and Brent Dodson of Georgia; an uncle, Harry “Sonny” Lynch and wife JoAnn of Georgia; two special cousins: Johnny Lynch and wife Christina of Centralia and Dana Harris and husband Terry of Centralia; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, a son, Josh Jezek, two sisters that passed in infancy, an Uncle: Gib Lynch and an Aunt Doris Ann Robey.

Bob was the President of the ABATE Kaskaskia Valley Chapter and the ABATE Bike Raffle Coordinator. He also was a past Firefighter for the Centralia Fire Protection District, a past member of the Central City Lions Club, a boy scout with Troup 251 when he was younger and a member of BEARS. Bob worked in Repossession for over 30 years. He owned Tri-City Towing, Affordable Towing, Mid Town Auto Care and Bob’s Recovery. He enjoyed riding his Harley and going on his repo calls. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
