He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Cora Bynum Black; the children’s mother, Sharon Black; brother and sister-in-law, Orville and Mary Carlisle Black; brother and sister-in-law, Grady and Lou Eddith Black; brother, James Theron Black; sister and brother-in-law, Harold and Lula Mae Black Burns; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Palestine Black; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Humber.
He is survived by his best friend, Martha Hollingsworth; daughter, Susan Shaw; sons, Robert Black, Richard Black (Dijuana), and Ronald Black; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene Black Humber; and a host of other family members.
