Robert Avery Burner, 86, formerly of Scotch Plains NJ, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at his Redding CT residence.
Born in Plainfield, NJ in 1926, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane Scott Burner; a son, Bradley Scott Burner and his wife Linda Detwiller of Lomita CA; a daughter, Katharine Rice and her husband L. Sanford Rice of Bethel CT; three grandchildren, Dorothy, Bradley and Penny.
After serving in the Army in Italy during WWII, he received his BS in Engineering from Syracuse University in 1952. He worked 37 years for Niagara Machine & Tool Works as New York District Sales Manager. A member of the Crescent Ave.
