Robert Almer Miller, age 73, of Newnan passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. He was born July 8, 1938 in Louisiana to the late Vernon L. Miller and Margaret Miller. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Vernon P. & Roland Miller and son, Scott. Bob retired from the F.A.A. on Jan. 3, 1994 after over 37 years of service; he served four years in the US Navy. He was a very active member of White Oak Golf Club. He & his wife enjoyed traveling in their motor home and cruising. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Miller of Newnan; son, Brian Miller, step-daughters, Debbie Cook and Shirley Brown; granddaughters, Kayla, Tesla, Ansley McKenzie & Reese; grandsons, Robert Ian, Mitchell Etheridge and Reese Cook. Also surviving are his brother, Paul (Jana) Miller; sisters-in-law, June & Linda, Trisha Bennett, Wilbur (Elena) Hall, Bobby (Dorothy) Hall, Mary Jane(Donald) Evanchuck and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers that family respectfully requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38148 or to the charity of one’s choice.
