Robert Aaron Painter passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 14, 2021. He was born February 25, 1971 in San Diego, CA.
After a childhood spent in CA and TX, Robert graduated from Orange Park High School in 1989. He took some classes at Florida State College of Jacksonville. He worked for many years at VyStar Credit Union and more recently at Parallon HCA. Robert enjoyed playing the guitar, computer games and video games. Holidays were always full of conversations with his nephews, Liam and James Woolard about upgrading computers, which gaming systems were the best and what new games they were playing. His greatest joy was his daughter, Cordelia. Robert shared with her his love of martial arts and music, playing the guitar and playing “Guitar Hero” as well as having many conversations about philosophy, quantum physics and conspiracy theories. He was always so proud of everything she did and was looking forward to her going to college in a few years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Sodek Coward and his grandparents, George and Mae Painter, Frank Sodek, Sr. and Ruth Sodek Crouse.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Julia Painter; daughter, Cordelia Painter; his father, Richard G.
