Robert A. “Bob” Ward, 77, of Hanoverton died at 9:25 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Salem Community Hospital. He was born January 1, 1935 in Lisbon, Ohio the son of the late Norman E. and Irene (Flugan) Ward. Bob worked at Salem Label Company from 1953 to 1996, and he also owned and operated Ward Printing until 2010.
He was a member of Hanoverton Presbyterian Church, the United Jubilee Chorus, the Sandy Valley Masonic Lodge #408, and the New Lisbon Masonic Lodge #65. Bob loved his family dearly and enjoyed early morning walks with his wife at United Local every morning.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Weyant) Ward, whom he married on August 13, 1953; his children: Susan (Thomas) Drotleff of Salem, Ohio; Peggy Mix of Hanoverton, Ohio; Becky Crawford of Hanoverton, Ohio; Vinson (Leslie) Ward of Kensington, Ohio; Sandra (Bruce) Tedeschi of Kensington, Ohio; his sister, Vera (Bob) Ward Erasmus of Chardon, Ohio; 11 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandchild, several nieces & nephews and his faithful St. Bernard, Bridgette. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother, Donald E. Ward of Lisbon, Ohio.
