STAFFORD, Mr. Robert A., Kalamazoo, MI. Died Friday evening August 12, 2011. Robert was born October 29, 1942 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Walter and Helen Kendall Stafford. Years ago, he served Honorably with the U.S. Air National Guard.
He was employed as a High School Spanish teacher in Zion, Illinois before retiring. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 brothers, Walter, John, and Burdette Stafford. He is survived by a sister, Kay John Haas of Portage; a brother, James Jon Stafford of Pine Lake; Humberto “Beto” Gomez, whom Bob thought of as a son of Kitchener, Canada; a special friend, Sheri Fitch of Portage; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
