Robert Arthur Ramsay was born December 3, 1973 in Vancouver, WA to Donald Ramsay, and Mary Freeman. He is survived by his wife Samantha and two sons, Ryan (11), Reidar (8), his parents, his brother Matthew, and other immediate family. Rob was an incredibly loving father, husband, and friend. He demonstrated humility, generosity, kindness, and a general respect for all those around him. As a glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer survivor, he persevered and beat the odds to live 14 years after his diagnosis. Upon diagnosis in 2002, he had two craniotomies, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, all of whichresulted in occasional seizures. On August 4th, he had a seizure which resulted in his death. Rob received his Bachelor’s Degree from Washington State University and played Cougar baseball. He went on to play professional baseball for eight years, two of which were with the Seattle Mariners.
