Robert A. Harris, Sr., 70, of Carlyle, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at his home. He was born October 14, 1948, in Alton, son of Maurice Harris and Thelma Louise (Sherman) Bond. He is survived by four children: Cassandra Cantrall and husband Donnie of Springfield, Betty Jo Jason of Carlyle, Robert Harris, II of Carlyle and Jonathon Harris and wife Heather of Raymond, Indiana; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; step-mother: Marge Harris of Carlyle; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister. He was a mechanic for 45 years and a skilled car salesman. He traveled and enjoyed life. He had a great sense of humor and could bring a smile to anyone’s face.
