Rita Renea McNiel Antley a beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, and Aunt. Nana. She gained her heavenly wings on July 13, 2022, in Monroe, La, surrounded by her family. She was an exceptional and avid seamstress and baker that absolutely loved to sew and bake and share her talents with her family and friends. Rita was a pharmacy clerk at Thomson’s Drug Store for many years and will be remembered as always having a kind word, a little nugget of gossip, or a word of motherly advice for the numerous friends and acquaintances that she met.
As a woman of strong faith and endless devotion to her loved ones she leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving husband of 43 years Delton Gene Antley, her beloved and adored daughters Carissa McKinney (Chris), Rhonda Parker (Shelton), Ashley Davis (Kevin), and Stormy Mooney (Brandon), her sweet grandbabies Heather McKinney, Heidi McKinney, Blake McKinney, Payton Till, Ian Till, Avery Shivers (Hayden), Talmadge Parker, Harlea Davis, Avery Davis, Braydon Mooney, Logan Mooney, Creedon Copes, Cody Mooney, and soon to arrive Ruby Mooney, loving mother Melba McNiel, beloved siblings Becky Broussard (Chuck), Darren McNiel (Glenda), and her loving mother-in-love Jewel Dear, as well as numerous loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Francis SICU for their compassion and kindness to our mother during her illness as well as Dr. Dhawan, Abby, and staff for their support and compassion during our mother’s journey. We would also like to thank her home health nurses Chloe, Nichole, and April for their kindness, respect, and compassion in caring for our mother.
