Rita Marie Kendall Murray died Monday, December 27, 202I from injuries sustained from a fall on Christmas day.
She was born April 26, 1928 in Tenino, Washington to Othello John Kendall and Edith Marie Wilkowski.
Rita married Evan Geddes Murray of Ogden, Utah. They were married in Tacoma, Washington, December 27, 1947 . They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, September 10, 1952. Rita was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was very active in her church callings including Primary President, and Relief Society. She later served a mission in Western Samoa with Evan.
The lived in Ogden, Washington Terrace, and in 1962 they moved to West Point, Utah. They raised five boys and one daughter. She helped all the boys get their Eagle Scout awards.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and her sister Emma Jean Lindstrom of Enumclaw, Washington, and also her husband Evan Murray.
She is survived by her children: Mark Evan and Becky Murray of Hyde Park, Jeffrey John Murray of Clinton, Scott Thomas and Trisa Murray of Malad, Idaho, Tyler J. And Julie Murray of Atascadero, California, Robin and Marty Nielson of Clinton, and Chris Kendall Murray of Logan. Rita and Evan had 59 grandchildren/greatgrandchildren.
