Rita M. Gemma, 70, of North Scituate passed away unexpectedly Saturday July 8th.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Irene (Porcaro) Perry.
She earned her associate degree in nursing from the Rhode Island Junior College in 1976 and has been in the nursing profession for over 50 years, the last 10 of which were at the Golden Crest Nursing Home in North Providence
She was a loving mother and sister, a fan of classic of movies, enjoyed knitting, her family and heritage, and she loved the Beatles.
She is survived by her son, Ralph Gemma, Jr.; three sisters, Ida Foster, Marcie Tiso, and Betty Brothers. She was predeceased by a sister Marguerite Lyons.
