Rita Helen Ferris, age 85 former resident of Milford and beloved wife to the late Alton F. Ferris, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Born in Hoboken, NJ on August 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Smith Wallace. Rita was a devout parishioner and an active member of the Ladies Guild at St.
She is survived by her sons; Michael Ferris, Alton Ferris and his wife Sue, David Ferris and his wife Kim and William Ferris and his wife Beth Ann; six cherished grandchildren, Gregg Ferris and his wife Nikki, Christopher Ferris, Michelle Ferris, Garrett Ferris and his wife Lauren, Nicole and Meghan Ferris; two great granddaughters, Emma and Madelynn and great grandson-to-be, Connor. She was predeceased by her brothers Edward and James Wallace and her sister Margaret Wallace Treat. The family would like to thank the staff of Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their devotion, compassion and care of Rita during her stay.
