Rita Gene (Jacobs) Jenkins, was born October 17, 1947. She departed this life on December 27, 2018 at The University of Maryland Medical Center in Easton, Maryland. Rita was the daughter of the late William Jacobs and Violet Groce of Denton, Maryland.
Rita was born in Queen Anne’s County Maryland. She attended school in the Talbot County school system. Rita worked as a caregiver for the elderly and she also worked at Denton Elementary School in the Cafeteria.
Rita was a dedicated member at the Greater Full Gospel Church of God since 1987. Rita sang with the “Sisters of Praise Choir” and she was also an usher.
Rita married Maurice Jenkins on December 25, 1988. Rita enjoyed shopping and buying clothes.
Rita is preceded in death by her father William Jacobs and her grandparents.
Rita leaves to cherish her memories her husband Maurice Jenkins, 2 children Terry Cephas (Andrew) and Robbie Flamer. Her mother Violet Groce; Grandchildren: Carlisha, Shatira, Robin, Keayra, Kyreasha, Joy, Robbie (whom she raised as her own), Kamyirah and Isiah; Uncles: Mack and Teddy, Aunt: Margarite Potts; 18 great grandkids and 1 god son Robert Cephas.
