Rita Ann Schmidtberger, 72, of Harker Heights, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at her home.
Mrs. Schmidtberger was born July 19, 1947, in Longview, the daughter of Elbert Lee and Juanita Ruth (Smotherman) Capps. She married Eldene Gene Schmidtberger May 30, 1969, in Corpus Christi. They made their home in Central Texas in 1981. She was a member of the former First Assembly of God in Belton for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband June 21, 2016.
Survivors include one daughter Wendy Nichols and husband Audie of Harker Heights; one brother, Charles Capps of Arkansas and two grandchildren Derek Bouteller and Leah Bouteller.
