On September 24, 2006, Rita A. Davis passed on. Rita is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Buster K. Davis; her dear daughters, Rose Marie Hunt, Angelique Schneider and Elizabeth E. Davis; her dear sons, Joseph K. Davis and John W. Davis; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Valeda, and her brother, Bernard L. Jansen. Rita was born in Illinois in 1934. She had been a resident of Glen Burnie since 1958. She worked as a Fingerprinting Clerk for the F.B.I. in Washington, D.C. She was a member of many clubs, including the GGB Sports League and the Daughter of the Revolution. She was with the American Federation of Government Employees and was a Union Representative. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Girl Scout Troop Leader, a music teacher, the Director of Day Care at Ft. Meade and was a choir director and organist while the family was stationed in Hawaii. She was also an advocate for women’s rights. Rita enjoyed many hobbies which included collecting carnival glass and gardening.
