Rita A. Berard 97, of 303 Rhodes Ave.,passed away January 24, 2020 at The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Louis Berard. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Pacifique and Lea (Girard) Champagne. Rita worked for Mark Stevens for fourteen years before retiring in 1984. She was a former member of St. Agatha’s Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her niece Louise Frenger and her husband Stephen of North Smithfield, as well as several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings. Bernard, Armand, Victor, Cecile, and Helene Champagne, Marguerite Therien, Therese Gouin, Br. Jean Paul Champagne MS and Sr. Pauline Champagne SRC.
