Ricky Charles Gibbons, 68, of Rotonda West, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 15, 2021.

Ricky, “Rick” was born on August 25, 1953, in Flint, Michigan, to Charles Gibbons and Patricia (King) Gibbons. He enjoyed spending time with his family and exploring the area around his home with his wife and children.

His hobbies included coin collecting, listening to rock music, taking walks on the beach, golfing, and fishing. Rick spent most of his professional life working as a robotic welder but loved his entrepreneurial ventures.

He is preceded in death by his father Charles Gibbons and stepfather Peter Luyk.
Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Anne Gibbons; children, son Russell Gibbons of Port St. Lucie, FL, daughter Angie Gibbons McDaniel of Carrollton GA. and son in law Paul McDaniel, and one grandson on the way, Milo.

He is also survived by his mother Patricia Gibbons of Flushing, Mich, and two sisters, Vicky Gibbons of Flushing, Mich., Renda and Rick Meseke and nephew Guy Eller all of Grand Rapids Mich, and close friend Ray Jimmenez of Flushing Mich; and many more family members and friends.

Those who knew Rick will best remember him for his unique ability to make anyone laugh in any situation, his compassion toward others in times of need, being the emotional support and rock for his family, and his appreciation for the little things like old family recipes made by his mother, wife, or daughter, playing video games with his son, and gardening with his wife.

He was always willing to try something new and enjoyed going to concerts and other events with his children. He was loved completely and will be deeply missed.
