Coach Rickey Stafford, 64, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Friday at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Coach Stafford left a legacy with thousands of people after having coached, taught, and served as a school administrator for forty-two years at Meridianville, Hazel Green, and Blanche Schools.  He also represented District Four on the Madison County Board of Education.   He was a member of the 1967 Hazel Green High School state championship basketball team.  

Mr. Stafford was preceded in death by his parents,  Melvin Stafford & Wilma Mathis Stafford.

He is survived by his wife,  Angela K. Stafford, and their children: Aimee, Kendall, and Hunter Stafford, and by his daughters, Amy Stafford and Amanda Stafford Brown; His daughter-in-law, Amanda Ellis; His son-in-law, Randy Brown; His sister, Mona Stafford McPeters; His nephew, Cody McPeters; His brother-in-law, Paul McPeters; Two grand-children, Brycen Noel Brown and Adrian Guzy. His step-mother, Judy Stafford;  Two step-brothers, Randy and Rocky Cowley. His mother-in-law, Patricia Lynch, and his father-in-law, Roy Jenkins. He is also survived by many other beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

All who met Coach Stafford loved and respected him.  He leaves behind a multitude of friends and loved ones whose lives he has impacted.
