Rickey Darryl ByrdNovember 5, 1948 ~ May 24, 2010Mr. Rickey Darryl Byrd, 61, of Montgomery, Alabama died Monday. He was an Eagle Scout and was an accomplished musician, photographer and explorer. Mr. Byrd graduated from Fort Hamilton High School in New York and received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Alabama Tuscaloosa and a law degree from Birmingham School of Law. He was employed by the Social Security Administration for over 30 years. Survivors include his children, Christine E. Byrd-Harris, Jesse and his wife Miranda Byrd, Josh Byrd; his grandchildren, Robin Harris, Alia Harris; his mother, Mabel Byrd and his brother, Ken and his wife Laura Byrd. Mr. Byrd was preceded in death by his father, Ret Col Marshall Byrd, Jr.
