Rick Stowers, 61, died Thursday, June 17th in the arms of his beloved wife, Pat. Rick died due to a long-term heart ailment. Rick has gone home to be with his precious Lord.
Rick was a resident of Des Moines, Ia until moving to Perry, Ia in 2003. Rick is survived by his wife Pat and daughter Megan, his brother Will Stowers, and friends far and wide. Rick was very dear to so many people. His treasure was his daughter Megan. Although he became a father late in life, it became his favorite role. Rick was born in Des Moines at Mercy Hospital on October 8, 1959. He was raised by his grandparents, Harry and Bonnie Story, who passed away in 1994 and 1990.
He graduated from Tech High in 1978. Rick was extremely talented in art and music. He composed and played music on the guitar, briefly played in bands, and displayed his art in a number of homes. Rick’s favorite hobby was hunting and shooting with his daughter, Megan. He used his creative talents for just under 40 years in his various roles at Storey Kenworthy.
