Rick J. Sexson, 64, of Lafayette, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at his home. He was born January 20, 1954, in Lafayette to the late Joe and Donna Parrish Sexson. Rick graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1972 and Butler University in 1976. On June 3, 1977, he married Ellen Hughes in Lafayette and she survives.
Rick taught Social Studies and coached basketball at Battle Ground Middle School and retired in 2013. He previously coached at various high schools throughout the State of Indiana and Butler University. Rick was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed golf, fishing and his grandchildren.
Surviving along with his wife are his sons Ryan G. (Sarah) Sexson of Crown Point, Travis W. Sexson of Indianapolis and grandsons Jace and Myles Sexson. Also surviving are his brothers Daniel Sexson of Indianapolis and Mark (Judy) Sexson of Plainfield.
