Richard William Volk, 74, of La Salle, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Aperion Care in Spring Valley. Mr. Volk was born on November 19, 1944, in LaSalle. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He worked at Sears in Peru and volunteered at the Illinois Valley Food Pantry. He enjoyed the friends he met through the food pantry.
Survivors include his sister, Sandy (R.J.) Salazar of LaSalle; nieces, Brianna Salazar of Granville and Brittany Salazar of LaSalle; nephew, Terry (Billie) Milby of Granville and grand-nephews, Dylan and Cody Milby.
He was preceded in death by his father; his mother and step-father, Florence (Schudza), and Frank Mequish; his brother, Norman Volk, and nephew, Tommy Milby Jr.
