Richard Wesley Murphy, Sr.was a man of many words. He was the kind of man who would do anything for others and never ask for anything in return. Richard was also the kind of man who could make friends wherever he went. He left a huge impression on so many people. Richard, although a feisty grump of a man, was also very loving and kind. He was the kind of person who loved animals so much that he made sure a stray or one of his own would find his place right at home on his property. Richard was a hard working man his entire life and really loved his Monterey Iron and Metal family. He loved to play dominoes and fish as long as you brought the right bait and remembered his pole. He really enjoyed watching criminal minds with his grandkids while they ate their veggie tray and candy. He was tough as nails even on the day of his surgery. He made a date with his granddaughter and was determined to be there. A week later he was and enjoyed every minute of it. Richard was definitely a hard man not to like. He pretty much made it impossible. He would be here cracking a cold beer and enjoying a good time and telling everyone what to do. Richard will be truly missed. Life sure won’t be the same without him. Mr. Murphy, rest in peace and give ‘em hell, See you later because this is not goodbye.
